Software Team Lead

The Role

Join a growing technology company as a Software Team Lead, taking ownership of software architecture, technical direction, and engineering delivery across a complex embedded and cloud-based platform.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll combine software architecture, team leadership, and software development while helping shape the next generation of a mission-critical product in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Own the overall software architecture across embedded, cloud, data, and user-facing applications.
Lead and mentor a growing team of software engineers.
Contribute directly to software development on complex technical initiatives.
Define engineering standards, code review processes, and technical documentation.
Drive software delivery, planning, and technical roadmaps.
Design scalable cloud and data architectures.
Build and maintain CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.
Work closely with quality teams to support software compliance and verification.
Ensure software reliability, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
Collaborate with executive, product, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Essentials

10+ years of software engineering experience.
Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or Software Lead.
Strong software architecture experience across distributed or embedded systems.
Python and/or C/C++ development experience.
Cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure).
Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.
CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
Experience with relational and time-series databases.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.
Experience working within regulated or mission-critical environments.

Nice to Have

Medical device, aerospace, defence, or other safety-critical industry experience.
IEC 62304 or similar regulated software development standards.
Embedded and cloud hybrid architecture experience.
Infrastructure as Code exposure.
Software verification, validation, and risk management experience.
