About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Draftsperson to produce and maintain high-quality As Built documentation for electrical distribution projects across Victoria.

Working alongside engineers, designers and project managers, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate drafting outcomes across multiple Victorian distribution networks. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you'll provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to improving drafting standards, processes and workflows.

This position offers genuine long-term career progression into a Drafting Manager role for someone with the ambition to lead a team in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and revise As Built drawings for electrical distribution projects.
• Update existing drawings to accurately reflect completed construction works.
• Ensure all drafting complies with Victorian electricity distribution standards and client specifications.
• Review drawings for accuracy, quality and completeness before submission.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and project managers to resolve technical drafting issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other members of the drafting team.
• Maintain drawing revisions, approvals and project documentation.
• Prepare documentation packages for project submissions.
• Contribute to improving drafting standards, templates and internal processes.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering work within project deadlines.

About You

You'll ideally bring:

• 3 to 5+ years of drafting experience within the Victorian electricity distribution industry.
• Strong experience preparing and revising As Built drawings.
• Experience working across Victorian electricity distribution networks.
• Powercor project experience will be highly regarded.
• Detailing experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and utility design software.
• Strong understanding of Victorian electricity industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership potential with an interest in progressing into a future management role.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
