Senior Control Systems Engineer
Job Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Help bring powerful, planet-positive technology to life.
As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you’ll be the brains behind the automation that powers advanced pyrolysis systems — converting organic waste into clean energy and carbon-storing biochar. You’ll design and deploy smart, safe, and efficient control solutions that keep operations running smoothly in real-world, high-temperature environments.
If you know how to build rock-solid control frameworks and want your work to make a global difference, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead PLC/SCADA system design, development, and deployment across carbon conversion and energy recovery units.
- Build smart control architectures with integrated sensors, safety interlocks, and thermal feedback systems.
- Develop HMI interfaces and dashboards for real-time control, diagnostics, and tuning.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and remote monitoring of field systems.
- Work closely with process engineers to align automation with thermal performance and yield goals.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of industrial automation experience, ideally in clean energy or high-temperature systems.
- Mastery of PLCs, SCADA, HMI platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.).
- Strong foundation in control theory, safety systems, and instrumentation.
- A track record of delivering full control system lifecycle projects — from concept to commissioning.
- Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
Why This Role?
- You’ll own automation for breakthrough carbon technologies.
- You’ll help scale something that makes a real difference to industry and the environment.
- You’ll be part of a team that values autonomy, precision, and practical problem-solving.
