The Opportunity

We are seeking a PLC Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering advanced warehouse automation solutions across a diverse range of industries.

You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from PLC software development and system integration through to commissioning and ongoing support. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work with industry-leading automation technologies and contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale automated warehouse systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop, modify, and maintain PLC software for automated warehouse systems
  • Program and troubleshoot Siemens and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) PLC platforms
  • Integrate automation hardware including motors, VFDs, encoders, sensors, and control devices
  • Develop and configure communication interfaces between PLCs, SCADA systems, and other industrial equipment
  • Support commissioning activities and system start-ups
  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting assistance
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, and project engineering teams
  • Assist in testing, validation, and optimisation of automation systems
  • Travel to customer sites when required for commissioning and support activities

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar
  • Experience programming Siemens and/or Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) PLCs
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault finding
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset
  • Willingness to travel for project and commissioning activities
