General Manager MV & HV - Data Centres

An exciting senior leadership opportunity has opened for an experienced MV/HV electrical leader to take ownership of a growing data centre-focused function. This is not a traditional engineering role. It is a high-impact position for someone who can combine deep technical expertise with commercial judgement, operational leadership and the ability to build strong teams and client relationships.

You will play a key role in shaping the delivery of complex Medium Voltage and High Voltage electrical infrastructure for data centres, working across major projects while leading people, stakeholders and commercial outcomes.

The Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical, operational and commercial leadership across MV/HV data centre projects. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, clients, project teams and delivery partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, successfully and to the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the MV/HV data centre function, providing strategic technical and operational direction.
• Oversee the delivery of complex MV/HV electrical infrastructure and critical power systems.
• Lead and develop engineering, project and technical teams.
• Provide senior technical guidance across design, construction, testing, commissioning and energisation.
• Manage key client and stakeholder relationships at senior level.
• Take ownership of commercial performance, project risk, budgets and delivery outcomes.
• Support business growth through client engagement, opportunities and strategic development.
• Establish and maintain high standards across safety, quality, compliance and technical delivery.
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop capability, resources and future growth within the business.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a senior electrical professional who has progressed beyond pure engineering into technical, commercial and people leadership.

You will ideally bring:

• Significant experience across Medium Voltage and High Voltage electrical systems.
• Strong experience delivering data centre or other mission-critical electrical infrastructure.
• Proven leadership experience managing senior technical, engineering or project teams.
• Strong understanding of MV/HV distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience across major project delivery, including design, construction, testing, commissioning and energisation.
• Strong commercial understanding, including budgets, contracts, project performance and client management.
• Proven ability to engage confidently with senior clients, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, standards, compliance and risk management.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate technical expertise into successful commercial outcomes.
