We're looking for a Frontend / UX Engineer who is passionate about creating intuitive, responsive and engaging user experiences. This is an opportunity to work on modern web applications where usability, performance and thoughtful design are just as important as clean, maintainable code.

This is more than building interfaces. You'll help design and develop software that simplifies complex workflows, enabling users to interact with powerful technology through intuitive and elegant experiences.

The Role

As a Frontend / UX Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing modern, responsive user interfaces that are intuitive, accessible and high performing.

Working closely with product managers, software engineers and technical leaders, you'll translate complex workflows into seamless user experiences while building scalable frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.

This role places a strong emphasis on UX thinking, usability and delivering polished interfaces that make sophisticated software simple to use.

What You'll Be Working On

Design and develop responsive, modern user interfaces using React or Vue.
Build intuitive user experiences with a strong focus on UX and usability.
Translate product requirements into clean, functional and engaging frontend applications.
Optimise applications for speed, responsiveness and accessibility.
Integrate frontend applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Participate in planning, estimation, testing and code reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested frontend code.
Develop and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
Work closely with backend engineers, product managers and designers to deliver high-quality software.
Contribute to technical documentation and frontend best practices.
Stay current with modern frontend technologies and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.

We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

5+ years of frontend software development experience with a strong UX focus.
Commercial experience building modern web applications using React or Vue.
Strong understanding of UX principles and user-centred design.
Experience creating responsive, accessible and intuitive user interfaces.
Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Strong debugging and frontend performance optimisation skills.
Experience writing automated tests for frontend applications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong understanding of modern software development practices and SDLC.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor is advantageous.
