Control Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, and program industrial control solutions across PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Emerson, and others). You will create functional design specifications, document control philosophies, design OT networks, and lead FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program control systems on PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
• Produce functional design specifications, control-philosophy documentation, and OT network designs.
• Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning.
• Provide technical support and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and company procedures.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Hands-on experience programming industrial control systems.
• White/Blue Card (Construction WHS Induction).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Citect, WinCC, or FactoryTalk.
