Test Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join a hands-on engineering team working on the testing and qualification of RF and electronic equipment.

This is a practical role for someone who enjoys getting into the lab, working with test equipment, developing test processes and turning test results into clear technical reports.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Performing RF, electrical and environmental qualification testing and accurately recording results.
• Working hands-on with VNAs, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, multimeters and other test equipment.
• Developing, debugging and maintaining test scripts and automated test systems.
• Preparing detailed test reports, test data and technical documentation for customers.
• Working from customer specifications, test plans and relevant international standards.
• Building test jigs and carrying out measurement experiments under the direction of management and engineering.
• Locating and applying international standards to specific test situations.
• Supporting testing at customer sites and company operations nationally and internationally, including reasonable periods of travel when required.
• Learning new testing methods and undertaking training as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on RF testing experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of RF techniques, spectrum analysis and S-parameters.
• Experience using RF test equipment such as VNAs and spectrum analysers.
• Familiarity with MATLAB or similar software/test tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document test results.
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and problem solving.
• Willingness to learn new methods, develop technical capability and travel when required.
