The opportunity
Our client is an established Australian technology company that designs and manufactures communications products used in demanding, real world conditions. They're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Engineering PMO and lead complex new product development programs from concept through to production.
What you'll do
- Lead end to end delivery of hardware NPD projects from concept to production release
- Drive planning, scheduling, budgeting and resourcing
- Coordinate electronics, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing and product teams
- Run design reviews, milestone reviews and project governance
- Identify risks and dependencies early and keep projects on scope, schedule, cost and quality
- Support the transition of products into manufacturing
- Improve project delivery frameworks, processes and tools
What you'll bring
- Experience delivering complex engineering or new product development projects
- A strong understanding of the product development lifecycle
- Experience leading cross functional technical teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication
- The ability to balance technical, commercial and operational priorities
- A degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance
Highly regarded
- Consumer electronics, telecommunications, RF, electronics manufacturing or defence communications experience
- Stage Gate, Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery
- ISO 9001 quality environments
- Working across engineering, manufacturing and supply chain
