We're working with a well-established engineering consultancy delivering electrical distribution projects throughout Victoria. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in Underground Residential Distribution (URD) projects to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys electrical design, wants exposure to a variety of utility projects, and is keen to continue developing their technical skills within Powercor and Victorian distribution networks.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll support the delivery of URD projects by preparing electrical designs and working alongside experienced engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Candidates with electrical drafting experience are highly regarded, although it isn't essential.
What You'll Do
- Prepare electrical designs for URD projects
- Assist with Powercor design documentation and submissions
- Produce accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Coordinate with project engineers, designers, and clients
- Ensure designs comply with Victorian utility standards
- Assist with electrical calculations and technical assessments
- Support project delivery from design through construction
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Need
- Minimum 2 years' experience working on Underground Residential Distribution (URD) projects
- Understanding of Victorian electrical distribution standards
- Experience preparing electrical design documentation
- AutoCAD experience
- Electrical drafting experience is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
