Lead Integration Engineer

The Role
As the Lead Integration Engineer, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of Integration Engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support
- Drive the planning, prioritisation, and execution of system integration activities
- Develop a deep understanding of complex software and hardware platforms and their integration into customer solutions
- Lead the integration of third-party technologies into company products
- Maintain and enhance core integration platforms used for testing, validation, and verification
- Evaluate customer requirements and ensure solutions align with technical capabilities
- Develop high-quality, reliable software solutions to achieve integration objectives
- Test, validate, debug, and document software components
- Work closely with Systems Engineering on functional requirements, architecture, and system design
- Collaborate with software, systems, validation, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Promote engineering best practices, code quality, documentation standards, and continuous improvement across the team
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams within a technical software environment
- Strong ability to develop ideas into practical engineering solutions
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of software engineering experience within complex engineering or embedded software environments
- Strong proficiency in C/C++
- Experience with Linux development environments
- Experience with simulation, modelling, or virtual testing environments
- Experience analysing engineering or system performance data
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Passion for solving complex technical challenges and working with emerging technologies
- Experience in embedded systems, industrial automation, robotics, aerospace, telecommunications, defence, medical devices, or other high-technology industries is highly regarded
- Familiarity with Python, communication protocols, and middleware frameworks is advantageous

Domestic and international travel may be required to support customer projects, testing, and deployment activities.
