Integration Engineer
Job Location: Melbourne, Victoria
You'll be working on Autonomous Driving System integration as part of the 'Mobility as a Service' team. This team focuses on how customers apply core technology to meet their needs. The goal is to demonstrate a complete product solution by understanding Client Application Space capabilities and Autonomous Driving System integration. You'll be developing a strong understanding of how Autonomous Driving Systems operate and integrate into vehicle applications.
The Role
* Develop a strong understanding of Autonomous Driving Systems and their integration into vehicle applications
* Lead the in-house integration of partner AD systems into company products
* Maintain a base AD system to support verification of core technology and AD systems
* Assess customers' target Operational Domains against the company's Operational Design Domains
* Develop high-quality, reliable software solutions to meet AD integration objectives
* Test, validate, debug, and document related software components relating to AD integration
* Work closely with System Engineering on Functional Requirements and Architectural elements
* Collaborate with the core software team, aligned on best practices, tool chains, and process
What You Bring
* Ability to develop ideas into solutions
* High-quality organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills to build relationships across all levels
* BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a robotics-related degree
* 3+ years of proven industry experience in a software development environment
* Experience with plant model creation and simulation
* Proficient in C/C++
* Experience in data analysis
* Experience with Linux
* Knowledge of version control (Git)
* Ability to keep up to date with technologies such as AI
* Experience in automotive, aerospace, or robotics industries is preferred
* Familiarity with Python, communication protocols, and ROS/ROS2 is desirable
